The Centre of Healing
A study of water, enclosure, and a circular garden. Architecture organised around a slower encounter with the landscape.

Water at the centre
The Centre of Healing is a design project set in Fujikawaguchiko, Japan, near Mount Fuji. Natural spring water provides the starting point for a programme of bathing, meditation, consultation, and shared spaces.
Enclosure and reflection
A central circular pool and garden organise the plan. Curved concrete forms shelter the interior, while timber elements and framed views establish a relationship with the surrounding landscape.
The drawings study the sequence between arrival, changing spaces, consultation rooms, the garden, and the pool. Sections test how enclosure, roof profiles, and daylight give each part of that sequence a distinct atmosphere.
